I bet my Smashbox primer is older than yours! It was cutting edge when it came out….many…many years ago.

  2. Badgirl1622 says

You should try Hourglass Veil Primer! I absolutely LOVE It! It’s a little pricey, I think $52 for full size but it feels like satin on your face. It’s awesome!!!

  3. Urmi Bhatt says

try the benefit POREfessional primer it is AMAZING i can stop touching my fave after how smooth it feels 🙂 its amazing and i t works amazingly for large pores kisses xoxo <3

  4. Smashbox makes super-slick primers to go with its sticky foundations. I could not imagine why anyone would use them for anything but a sticky, long-wearing foundation. Slick foundations just slide right off.
Makeup Forever on the other hand makes a sticky primer to go with its super-slick foundations. I find that with most foundations I get better coverage with the Makeup Forever primer. It causes foundation to adhere to my skin. Does anyone know of any other sticky primers?

i really like the silicone ones! i know they are prob crap for skin and sit on top, but i like the silky feel and as you say, the slick feel that silicone gives. i like the feel of the revlon and it does make skin look smoother

  6. macdoll77 says

what program do you use to edit your videos?

  7. ASMRelaxify says

You remind me of Kirstie Alley.

  8. Do you remember how much the Smashbox costed?

  9. I love two faced primed and poreless but it’s expensive at sephora. do you know any good dupes?

  10. Christine N. says

I actually liked the stila one-step primer. It counteracts redness and I like the way it makes my skin look. However I don’t think it does a whole lot more than that which is too bad because it seemed like a good idea. I also really like That Gal from benefit as a brightening primer.

  11. Jenny Savinda says

I have not tried it but EmilyNoel reccomends the Rimmel Fix and Perfect Primer and several people have commented on the Hard Candy Sheer Envy Primer (available at Wal Mart) Also I’ve heard a lot about the L’oreal Studio Secrets (in a little pot). 🙂

  12. The Benefits Porefessional definitely works well for me if I pat it on my nose and inner/upper cheek areas close to my nose for helping make those pores less noticeable. I used Smashbox Dark Spot Correcting Primer every day for 30 days and noticed no change in my dark spots whatsoever. I recently started using La Roche Posay Anthelios Anti-Aging Primer with spf 50 and I liked it a lot. It definitely feels like the original Smashbox primer, the silicone-y one, which I love, haha.

  13. I have been trying a lot of primers too. I have oily face with large pores in summer. I also have some hyperpigmentation that I’m trying to lighten and/or camouflage. I like Smashbox Primer in “Blend” (peach color) for helping even out skin tone. I have not been really impressed with hourglass primer, although I’ll use it if I want the spf. Cover fx has a primer+acne treatment in one that emphasizes my smile lines. Yuck. And didn’t do anything for acne. I’ll add a reply for the rest…

  17. linzstar07 says

What drugstore primer Would work best for keeping your makeup on all day?

  18. Alexis Sinder says

I use the Stila One Step Corrector and I personally LOVE IT!! However, I tend to get really red in the face so it does counter-act against my redness. I think maybe that is why I see a difference because it evens out my skin tone. I don’t know what kind of skin you have so it seems reasonable if this product doesn’t work for you!!

  19. VIRGINATY says

2nd best primer for brightening I will use Guerlain meteorites primer which is not heavy, but is very refreshing, even’s completion and gives an AMAZING glow after the bb cream!!!

  20. VIRGINATY says

I apply first my spf 50 cream ( La roche posay) after that’s in the skin I apply – Lancome – La Base pro, its my no 1 fav primer, its very silicone based but kinda light and it evens out completion. I don’t use foundation but on top of my primer I use a bb cream Estee Lauder Antioxidant bb cream. Mainly my spf acts like a primer to but for a smoother look I use Lancome La base pro.

Great video! I have a Chanel Giveaway on my new channel. I barely have any subscribers, so your chances of winning are high!

  22. Christinaanna5 says

so glad i found ur channel again! i always learn so much from ur videos & finally found someone who has pale skin like myself. i was wondering if anyone has tried the almay primer thats like the stila one step? ive seen it & debated. i use monistat & hard candy right now but have norm 2 dry skin & looking for a new drugstore primer.

  23. blueforevergirl says

i know its strange but when i saw u in this vid i thought “she would look great with a nose piercing”

  24. PositivelyNice says

you have such crazily beautiful eyes!

  25. Suz marina says

Thanks for the video! I was using the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer SPF 15 With Dermaxyl Complex. I had the .5 oz size ($15) and it lasted forever. It does take a second to get used to the silicone finish but after awhile I LOVED it. I have combination skin so sometimes it didn’t work well on my nose. Now I am using Laura Mercier foundation primer. I don’t like it as much but it helps my makeup stay on longer.

  26. hopskotchjunkie says

Black Radiance Complexion Perfection Base is my HG primer! I have sensitive combination skin that cannot tolerate silicones, MOM, mercury, urea, blah d blah blah. On top of that I sweat super easy. I wear the BR base under Revlon Colorstay foundation and together they are perfection personified.

  27. gonzalicious123 says

  31. aishoone says

    You look like Kelly rowland!

  32. Eleanor Herhold says

    Thank u this really helped!!!!!

  33. TheChazzmander says

As far as oily and shiny, which of the three primers works the best? I know the Boots one actually states the anti-shine effect but I was wondering of the ELF primer was still comparable for that factor alone.

  34. You are so beautiful 🙂 Pretty make-up too. Thanks for your review x

  35. lilpumpkinpie05 says

    thanks 🙂

  36. You are gorgeous!!

  37. metriadb85 says

  41. lionandlambkl says

the number7 one is horrible! i had to return it, i put it on then afterwards applied my foundation and it looked cakey and not rubbed in 🙁

  42. GlamourGirlMejor30 says

    Score for e.l.f.!

  43. wynterstorm04 says

  44. lilpumpkinpie05 says

Ahh, I see. Well I hope you find something that works for you nonetheless. Thank you for watching/commenting 🙂

  45. MissKryola says

yes it feels like a mousse but when i apply it to the skin it looks really ashy and my foundation doesn’t go that smooth. Maybe they use another formula here in europe, the packaging is not the same eather. Anyway thaks for the reply 🙂 . Have a great day

  46. lilpumpkinpie05 says

ashy? really? mine has a mousse/whipped feel. very soft to touch. perhaps you got a bad batch?

  47. MissKryola says

I have the l’oreal one and i hate it. it looks realy ashy and i don’t know if it supopsed to control oil but if it is, it doesn’t. Thanks for the review
