Great video! You pointed out something that I never thought about… the ‘cones’ usage on hair when using heat is supposedly good. Never thought about that. They do say though that when you use heat with cones, they create formaldehyde in the air, which is deadly to breath in. Just a thought. I have yet to straighten my natural hair… it’s been two years and I’m gathering info on how to do it without damaging it. =)

i let my cousin who is a beautician straighten my hair. never again. they rip thru it with combs and half of it is on the floor. id have more length if i wasnt so lazy the past 2 years. sad :,-(

Love your hair. What setting do u use on the Maxiglide? And how do u get your ends straight with the maxiglide? I recently straightened my hair with the maxi glide , I used the steam burst, and I glide very slow, but on my kinkier areas the ends don’t come out smooth. What can I do to get the ends smooth? Nice video.. I have 4c with 4b only in nape area.. I find the heat tamer spray to be sticky on my hair and it seems to stick to my flat iron I guess cos of the pvp in it. Different strokes..

I know you may not give suggestions on exactly what you did to gain your length 2009 I believe was the last time I got a perm but I lost a lot of my thickness and length. I honestly didn’t really start taking care of my hair until late last year my hair is about shoulder blade length when in its natural state. I have 4b/4c hair. Since I never cut my perm out do you think that is messing me up retaining length. I would like armpit length by March my birthday any suggestions? Anything will help 🙂

Do you feel like the ion cream that you use works better than the ion heat protection spray? Because I tried the ion heat spray and did not help me achieve a nice flat iron look at all.

Have you tried a concentrator and round brush? Works great for me. Especially the round brushes with tourmaline and boar bristles. My hair comes out soft, shiny, swingy and stays that way for days. No flat iron needed!
