Your barber would need to assess your face shape then place the right kind of layers and of course length. The model Perry’s face shape was square so I counteracted this with round layers.
    Hope that helped!

    Hi Alvi,
Thanks for your comments, pleased you enjoy watching them.
If you can’t show your barber the video then I would say.. It’s a men’s medium length layered cut with softness all around the outline. The length at the back was just bellow his hairline, the sides around half way on his ears. Each layer was chopped into, the fringe was also chopped into and cut slightly asymmetric, which means shorter on one side of the fringe to slightly longer.

Hello Stuart, I’ve been watching your videos and I’m really impressed! You are a genius at cutting and styling hair. I have hair very similar to the model’s hair in the video, and I was wondering what I should tell me barber in order to get a haircut like the one you gave in the video? Thanks!

Although there is a more permanent way, you could have a service called YUKO, which takes about 4 hours but lasts until your hair grows out. It doesn’t damage your hair at all but looks straight and in good condition. Google it and see what you think!
It works and would solve your problem, although you would need to do it every few months!

You would need to use a mat wax like L’Oreal’s CLAY, L’Oreal has many different sub brands and CLAY is by TEC-NI-ART. The idea is you place on a small amount, then the trick is to lock that in the hair. You do that by spraying a small amount of hairspray over the wax. It’s never easy when you have thick curls that you want to keep straight.

Hi, that’s a tough one as it takes at least two years for barbering! The best advice I can give is start by cutting the length at the back, then the sides. I then layer but there’s so many shapes you could cut and that depends on the shape and features of your client. As a guide I keep the layers square on a guy and rounder on a girl but if the guy has a square face I would then make the layers slightly rounder. Apart from that It would be impossible to help you any further!
    Good luck!!

Hey Stuart, one of my friends has asked me to cut his hair, and while I’ve got experience cutting my own hair, and trimming girls’ hair, I have little idea how to go about cutting a bloke’s hair! Any advice?

Something like that, i need some sort of wax that when i straighten my hair when i apply the gel/wax my hair doesnt go curly ! thanks pleas eit would be a help i cheers

Thanks, pleased you like the cut, I remember the haircut that Liam wore. It’s very similar, the difference is, I textured the hair a little more by chopping into all the layers, then lifted the hair out using a mat wax at the end, where Liam where’s it a little flatter, also the fringe on my model was cut with a slight asymmetric which means shorter on one side, in Liam’s fringe it’s chopped into but not an asymmetric. The overall length is the same though.
    Hope that helped!

For the colour, It was bleach used in the foils with 20% peroxide, then for the shoe shine, (that’s where Lara wiped the bleach from her glove to the tips of his hair) 30% peroxide was used!

Hi Emile, do you mean showing how to change your style from curly hair to straight like this video?
I’ll be looking for a male model in the next couple of weeks to cut that has curly medium length hair and will try and show 2 finished looks, a curly and straight look!

  24. emile heskey says

Great hair cut, Stewart. I would love to get your opinion on the haircut Liam Gallagher had on the Gmex concert. If you type in “Liam gallagher gmex” it should come up. I’d like to know if it is a variation of this cut? It seems to puzzle everyone I have shown it to.

We Love to Hear From You
