So true. I have sideswept bangs and they lengthen my face :) and for some reason a thick headband near the hairline makes a no-bang ponytail look better for me

no no no she is wrong! I have a square face too, and if you add volume to the TOP(not the sides), it makes your face look abnormally long. you do it in-between the two. i have side fringe i love it <333

i have a square face and side fringes suit me ( there long and work well) but unfortunately i need to tie my hair up al the time coz i have REALLY thick hair and it has natural volume to the sides (even straightening it doesnt help) im sick of my hair getting in my face at school everyone tells me to put it in a severe ponytail or something but that looks worse on me than most people! is there anyway i can clip my fringe back and make it work? that would be great if you made a video on that

This is such rubbish, bangs/fringes do look good on a square face if they are not a blunt cut and only if they go to the side. I had them and they suited me well.
Also, never part in the middle, it makes the face even wider. Do a side parting and always have volume on top to lengthen your face, it works even with ponytails.

I think people think of square faces as necessarily masculine, but come on. Audrey Hepburn had a square face and she was absolutely gorgeous.Other examples include Michelle Pfeifer,Selena Gomez,Donna Reed,Salma Hayek, the list goes on.Different hairstyles though do flatter different face shapes.I don’t think oval faces are necessarily prettier or more harmonious than any other face shape because the internal features also have a huge bearing on a face’s overall attractiveness.
