It is possible that with length the curls can get weighed down but combine that with the colder weather (if you don’t live somewhere warm) it can make curls go limp as well. Because of indoor heating the moisture gets sucked out of the hair. I would try the skip curl, scrunching afterwards and use the RevUp! Volumizing System to get a boost!
My hair is mostly 2c curls with some 3a, especially at the sides. I started wearing it natural this summer after spending years straightening it. I had awesome volume until about November when some of the curl started to soften. I’ve recently gotten a cut so the curl is not coming out because of length. Does it have anything to do with the cold weather? Im afraid I’m losing my curl & I don’t want to lose it.
To create curls, the hair has to at least be long enough for a curl to form. A ringlet needs to be long enough for each curl to rotate at least 2.5 times. To enhance your curls try the twisting technique with lots of scrunching while your hair is wet after you have applied Curl Keeper.
I’ve noticed that my hair has been less curly lately. Could it be because my hair is getting longer? I have not colored it or straightened it in 2 to 3 years and my ends are freshly cut. If it is because of the length will doing the curl skip help give me tighter ringlets like when my hair is short?

i know what you mean , you should know a fact that Hair when it damages, it’s damaged ! you cant get it to the first way it was before , BUT you can improve it, by :
– throwing away any heat styling tool ,
– using a deep conditioning treatments at least once a week, i can show you some if you want ,
– trimming your hair off regularly, so with time you have new hair that you grow out & no damage hair you use to have
– wearing your hair naturally so you don’t have to heat style it
Wash with the Treatment Shampoo, Conditioner. Curl Keeper and Silk Leave in Conditioner for the ends of your hair!
what do you recommend for long frizzy and poofy hair that’s mixed with waves and curls??? help please. my ends are slightly damaged due to straightening and im trying to get away from that. scrunching with mouse only sometimes works because some of it doesn’t curl enough but still becomes frizzy. ill try anything!
Do NOT use oils! Water and oil do not mix!
So I did the same thing. Here is what you will need for daily styling:
An essential oil (jojoba oil, argan oil, coconut oil, olive oil, etc.)
A moisturizer
And a styling product
While you are showering, and your hair is drenched in conditioner, this is when you need to comb it out. The slip in conditioner will give you the least damage from detangling hair. Shop in the “ethnic” hair section even if you are not ethnic. Deep condition once a week. And watch curly/natural hair vids on youtube.
