This video looks great! i have very dark hair and wanted to accomplish the Ashlee simpson hair color …its almost like a brown copper/auburn look. i tried to do it but ended up mostly with a reddish color and it only stayed at my roots :/

could you do a video on how to ashlee simpsons hair, or recommend what i can do to get that look, i know its a lot lighter and i dont want to damage my hair too much

In this case it’s hard to say the reason for your color turning to an unwanted hue with out analyzing your natural color. With that said, “bleach” or lightener is not a “terrible” tool. Just like anything when used poorly, you will get poor results. One of the best suggestions I can give is to spend the money on a knowledgeable, experienced and more importantly professional colorist. When it comes to color there is no opportunity for error.

A Great Tip: If you are doing this yourself, you can roll the hair up the curling iron rather than wrapping it around the iron. After twisting the hair strand start on the bottom of the twisted section, roll the curling iron up towards the scalp of the head; like a traditional curling iron curl.

This will definitely work well on shoulder length layered hair. The key to this style is setting the texture and movement into the hair, which can be done on any hair type and length. The length and hair type will change the overall finished look, but it will still look very similar and great! Essentially this style will give you a lot of body and wave, with a spiral “S” like shape. Hope that helps 🙂

Would it work well on shoulder length layered hair?
