If you’ve been dying your hair red for years then there is a big chance your hair cuticle will be permanently stained red. There is no way of getting this out and growing it out is your only option. Try finding a extra strength hair stripper (colour be4 is one brand I know of) to see if that works, if not you’ll just have to allow your colour to grow out.

  5. Sometimes it takes a couple of times to make it really stay. Try using a Demi-Color:)

Hello Tammy, love the color her hair came out. I have a question. I’ve been dying my hair all shades of red for years now and I’m thinking about going a dark chocolate brown. What do you recommend that I use. The last time I tried to go dark brown my hair faded to a reddish brassy color. HELP!!! 🙂

  7. I did this video a while back and I don’t remember the exact formula, but I am sure I used more neutral them gold. probably like 2/3rds neutral 🙂

  8. shanedawsonfan10993 says

how did you mix the colors up how many ounces of the neutral color did u use n how much of the gold?

    Hi Tammy,

Love this video. Would have liked to see you do the whole process. When you do the mid lengths and ends do you comb through more product or only what was used on the roots?

    Thank you for your help

Can I use this for blonde hair? I bleached my hair in June/July and kind of want it back to dark brown.

  18. That would be a good one:)

Can u do a how to dye black hair to red hair please

  20. What the heat will do is open the cuticle of the hair shaft to help help the prodoct penetrate better. Dont go too hot….just warm:)

I dyed my hair yesterday, and while the color turned out fantastic, my hair is extremely thick and some of the lower layers are lighter, so I’m going to be redoing it the same color in a few days after letting my hair recover/deepconditioning tonight, and I’m going to get a few brushes to use to get it covered better. So sitting under heat/blowdrying on lowheat won’t damage the color?

  22. OneTreeHillGurl1 says

I want to do a base color ( dark brown ) as well as blonde highlights and apple red highlights, can you do a vid?

  23. If you are using a semi-permanent, you can go under the dryer during processing. You could also cover your hair with plastic (so it doesn’t dry out) and use a blow-dryer on in. The heat will lock the color in better:)

  24. izabella1356 says

Yes but when I dye my light hair with a light or medium brown it comes out really really dark and it fades in a month !! what am I doing wrong?

  25. Going darker with your hair color ‘Usually’ is a little easier on the hair:) ‘Semi-permanent’ is a little better on the hair then permanent, but if you want to cover grey you need to use the Permanent hair color. Hope this helped:) XO Tammy
