It is a very good primer. I’ve been using it for two days straight and the first thing I noticed was that unlike the ‘Supernatural’ sunscreen/primer by Philosophy, it provided a tight ‘film’ for the skin. It’s almost as if it seals onto the surface which provides a firm layer that bonds to the foundation. But now with your warning I don’t think I’ll wear it in the daytime. Thanks for the tip.

The best silicone free primer I’ve found anywhere – for $25 – is Nurturing Force Blot Out Offensive. Spectacular stuff. All makeup stays on all day with this stuff. It can also be used alone, or over top of makeup to instantly mattify, on contact. It’s completely invisible on the skin & takes very little product to be effective. Can also be used by people with very oily eyelids to prevent eyeshadow creasing.

You used to be able to purchase it on QVC here in the States. Maybe it was just me, and my skin texture. I found it to be a bit thick and mask like, but it has been several years ago, and everything changes. My skin is baby smooth and very porcelain. (blessed with my Grammy’s genes. When she passed at 57 she looked half her age. If only we all could be so lucky( aging wise). 🙂

Could you just use a sunblock/sunscreen before the primer to wear during the day?
is this a silicone primer? and if so, what foundation do you use with it? i know you talked about matching your primer type to your foundation type so that they will last longer.
(Continue) is sunscreen lotion! Because UV ray from sunshine is one of the biggest cause of aging!
i really like aromatherapy and the first essential oil all people who learn about aromatherapy should know is lavender and tea tree oil.! They are like panacea for acnes. I really like the lavender ingredient in this product, u just need a sunscreen lotion and u will be fine.from my point of view, Sunscreen lotion is the best anti aging products. I love Philosophy’s The Present! I’ve had it for a year now & it does everything. It soothes skin to get rid of redness, mattifies, & even fixed the dry patchy areas. I use this every day over my SPF moisturizer & haven’t had any light sensitivity. Sometimes I wear it w/o foundation or powder & it stays until I wash my face. That says alot considering i live in Phoenix, AZ (103 + in spring/summer).
Could you spot test the product on your arm to test if you got the sun sensitivity? Do you have to be born with a sun sensitivity gene that may be brought out if you wear it or will the product MAKE you sun sensitive?
Goss I thought I was the only one that lobes this primer! It gives an amazing, super smooth almost velvety finish. I had no idea that there is a potentially harmful ingredient in it though 🙁
I love this stuff! You can also use it as a light moisturizer if you have oily skin. I haven’t had any problems with using it in the day but everyone is different.
