Thank you so much for posting this video. I am 13 and i can only wear power, cover-up, lipstick and lip gloss, and brownish/black mascara. Only yesterday my mom let me wear mascara because i turned 13 a few weeks ago. Before that i wore clear. i think that it will be a few more months before i am allowed to start wearing eyeshadow and blush, but this video will hopefully speed up the process. I am going to ask my mom if i can buy my own eyeshadows at a dollar store to start expirmenting. thanks!

Make sure your parents know you are interested in makeup. As long as they know, maybe you can work together to come up with a natural look they’re comfortable with letting you try out. Start off with less makeup to keep it looking fresh 🙂 Ask if your mom will help you try new makeup looks for fun, and also ask for additional advice. If she says no, I’m sure there’s a reason for it. Eventually you both will come to a compromise (even if it’s just wearing it around the house to start)! 🙂

Any tips for getting my parents to budge on not letting me wear makeup?!? I know how to apply it the right way, but they won’t even give me a chance. :'(

Baby blue is not necessarily considered a “natural” color, those are generally browns, beiges, cream, tan, etc. Blue is more of a cool toned shade, but if it is a soft light blue that compliments your eyes and skin tone you may be able to wear it. 🙂

I was wondering would like a baby blue be a more natural color?
