I think Sin might be better than Sidecar but that’s just my opinion 🙂

I dont think ive ever seen her use a primer. Its all depending on your own skin and how well foundations stay on you. I actually find that primers work against me, as my skin is dry and foundation stays put very well without one. If you have a bit of oily/combination skin a primer would probably help your make up last quite a bit longer than without one. Give it a try and see if they work for you! Its not necessary for everyone 🙂
