Hi, thank you! Although oval shape faces are easy to work with, depending on how long your face is, your limited on how short you can go. If you go to short it can tend to make your face appear longer, the same can happen if it’s too long. If you go to a reputable hairdresser they should be able to gage the exact length. It may mean that although you can have a similar cut to Frankie, you may be guided to go for a slightly longer version!

Your welcome Sophie, as you mention that you have quite a round face, I would recommend that you keep the style slightly longer, around 2-3 cm longer, this way it will stop the cut giving the illusion that it’s more round.
The cut can still be the same shape, even though it’s a few cm longer.
Once it’s been cut and if you then decide to go shorter, your stylist can take it down a little more. This is the safer approach!

hi, thanks for replying. I would say that i have quite a rounded face shape. I was looking at a style like this or like Frankie from ‘The Saturdays’ but anything around this length as i need to get rid of most of the damaged hair 🙂
Hi Sophie, ideally you either need an oval, square or slightly round face shape. Your face doesn’t have to be thin though!
What face shape do you have and I can guide you a little more? Each face shape means that the hairstylist would need to adapt a little more, then it would be tailor made for that persons face!

Hi, pleased you like it, The maintenance is very quick and easy, after you’ve washed your hair, towel dry, then literally blast your hair till it’s dry. If you have a few waves that you want to straighten, then use a round brush (once the hair is almost dry).
Then finish with a hair moulding product, Your looking around 5 minutes, dependent on how many waves you need to straighten. If your hair is very wavy/curly, then will take up to 15 minutes!

Amazing, like what I’m saying, Ι had really long hair, almost down to my waist and I got sick and tired of it and cut it like this. Most people like it but some tell me ‘why did you do that to your hair, you look like a boy’ but I don’t agree, the point isn’t to have a bunch of long hair hanging out of my head, but for the hair to be stylish and show your face. I have a normal face,big eyes,cheekbones and a small nose so it’s not a problem for me to show it. Life is short, cut your hair, girls!

Hi Stuart, well my hair used to be thick curly and down to my bum! I cut it to my shoulders about 7 months ago, now I have it in a very short bob/ outgrown pixie look, I also have a round face, pale skin with a slight glow, I bleached it so its damaged and wont curl my hairdresser had to put an ash brown over the luminous orange (wont be bleaching ever again) , should I let it grow and go for something new or go for a pixie? I’ve just dyed it a blue black and also like the alternative/rock look

this tends to open up your face, making it appear slightly bigger (which is more flattering to you). I also like the way you’ve styled your hair when it was purple, as you’ve taken your hair back, showing more of your face! One more thing, make sure that you don’t grow your hair much longer, as this will tend to make your face appear smaller!

Hi Itziar, the different looks that you’ve had are interesting! I think the best look that you’ve had is your latest black hair! It’s quite extreme against your pale skin but somehow you seem to get away with it! Your face apart from being round is also quite small, so I would want to show as much as your face as possible, for this reason I would keep your bangs fairly long and swept across, similar to what you have

This style would suit your texture, although it may prove time consuming to blow-dry, you would also need to keep the layers fractionally longer, this would make it easier to dry!
Another important factor, if you decide to go ahead, your stylist must first blow-dry your hair to a straight/wavy finish and then re-style your hair dry, this will give a more accurate cut!
