Since you did not believe me from the beginning and you think I am inventing things and follow man instead of Allah swt because I showed you a website full of proof, then please kindly provide me with proof for all your claims. where does it say that makeup is ok and that painting your fingernails does not invalidate your prayers? I can back myself up fully. Now it is your turn to provide proof…. hadeeth, aya, etc…. I will not accept if you just say “read the quran”

I have discussed the matter with two imams, actually, sister, and one agreed with me, while another neither agreed nor disagreed but said that it was open to interpretation, which it is. It is not “misguided” to follow only the Qu’ran. You can follow man if you so choose, but if someone chooses to follow only the Qu’ran, you do not criticize them for that. Further, I believe that the Qu’ran does mean Muslim women must cover, but that is very open to interpretation. Where does not wearing hijab (I prefer to cover my head, but I do not criticize those that do not) or choosing to wear makeup equate to justifying sex before marriage?! You are a very judgmental person, that is sad.

Obviously you don’t understand! Not everyone has perfect skin and can get away without wearing makeup and looking good. This is her version of how to wear makeup more naturally so that it looks like you’re not wearing so much.

I was reading it because I happen to like the “natural” look, with little or no make-up, so I wanted to see what she had to say, and I was just surprised to see just how much make-up she was putting on. Other than that, I don’t see why being a guy should mean that I can’t read the article. We all can always learn something new. Wish you the best in 2013.

Those eyebrows do not look natural at all. C’mon ladies! Don’t let the billion dollar make-up industry make you feel as if you HAVE TO wear that make-up. Learn to accept yourself as you are. Any male that complains that you should “put on a little make-up” or any other comments like that obviously doesn’t respect YOU as a woman. My opinion, that’s all.
Because, its a no make-up “look” which obviously means shes going to be wearing makeup. Its just going to be more natural looking than a bright red lip or bright green eyeshadow.
